Le Petit Trianon is a classic colonial style house built in the late sixties that sleeps up to 14 people. It was originally built as two apartments which we have joined together to create a large L shaped villa surrounding a 10 metre solar heated swimming pool with solar shower and spacious surrounding sandstone terrace and gardens. There is a summerhouse facing the house and pool with an additional sofa bed.

The house has four large double rooms (two doubles and two twins) and a bunkroom. There are two bathrooms, one with an extra large bath and another with large walk in shower. The two WC’s are totally separate at either end of the house. There is a large sitting room/diner with sofa’s and a ten seater dining table, SKY DIGITAL TV, Wireless Internet Connectivity, Video and DVD players.  The sitting room has open access to a fitted kitchen with beech units which is well equipped (i.e. dishwasher, oven/hob, fridge etc) and there is an adjacent utility room which houses an extra sink, a washing machine and a second fridge. There are cooler boxes for the beach, vacuum cleaners, ironing board and mops.

The kitchen opens out to the rear of the property with access to a secluded 50 sq metre patio with traditional BBQ area and a covered gas BBQ. There is ample seating for up to 14 outside diners and a separate deck with outside lighting.

There is an outside den with electrics and storage which can sleep two.

One of the twin rooms has sliding tandem beds (creates up to four singles) which you may re-locate wherever you wish providing all is put back at the end of your stay.

The bunk room is smaller but there is ample storage for two people.

The property has gas central heating and constant hot water. There is an open wood fire in the sitting room for out of season use. We have a TV, video, DVD player, CD player and numerous videos and assorted games in the cupboard. There are TV points in several rooms (to ship out the kids) if you wish.

Location wise, we are in a quiet residential area, five minutes drive from Hossegor Beach and five minutes walk from Hossegor town which is filled with restaurants, bars and designer shops.  There are also two casinos, one in Hossegor and one in the adjacent picturesque port of Cap Breton plus a couple of nightclubs. Hossegor has a lovely golf course in the town and we are five minutes drive from Seignosse which has been voted one of the most beautiful golf courses in Europe five years running.

The is a large estuarine lake at the end of the road which flows into the Ocean and offers sandy beaches and secluded walks and there are many cycle paths throughout the town and surrounding pine forests.

The beach is large and sandy with protected sand dunes and is famous for its surfing. The beach is well maintained with lifeguards and has more isolated spots including a nudist beach. There are many surf schools in the area and the European Rip Curl Surf Championships are held there during the month of August.

In the adjacent port of Cap Breton there is a lovely bay with tuna boats and lots of seafood restaurants and amusements including a skate board park.

We are 25 minutes from Biarritz Airport (www.ryanair.com), 1 ˝ hours from Bordeaux (www.ba.com)  and 1 hour from Pau (www.ryanair.com) The Spanish border is 45 minutes away and the lovely port of San Sebastian is well worth a visit as is Biarritz with its turn of the century charm. The Pyrenees are an hour and a half’s drive away, offering spectacular views and excellent ski-ing from its numerous ski-resorts.

Linen and bath towels (not beach towels) are available for hire in advance at an extra charge of €10 a head payable to our local representative. They are not ironed but the beds will be made up for you if you let us know your requirements. If you would like pressed sheets you must bring your own or hire from the local pressing for €30 per bed per week and they do not provide towels. Our representative maintains the pool and is on call for any problems. Due to French Law we have been instructed that we have to have a boundary around the pool for safety. The boundary is demountable but if tenants dismount the structure any consequences arising from this will be the tenants responsibility. The pool has an automatically timed robot which must never be removed by tenants and cleans the pool every day and the pool is checked once a week by the pool attendant or technician.
